I look at Zack Wheeler, and I see what I had hoped for Phil Hughes: a solid, middle of the rotation starter. He's beatable- he hasn't made it past 6 IP yet this season and he's only hit double digits in Ks once, but he's out there every fifth day.
Which is more than can be said at this point for Michael Pineda, Ivan Nova or CC Sabathia. Instead, the Yankees look to Vidal Nuno.
He'll never seem to be dominating a game, but I enjoy watching the slop tossing lefty, especially when he looks like he did last time out against the Angels. Another 6 innings of squirming out of trouble would suit me fine.
Go Yankees. Go baseball.
