Two of my favorite Yankee pitchers since Mike Mussina's retirement take the mound against each other tonight.
So what if Bartolo Colon had a losing record in pinstripes, pitched thanks to an ethically questionable procedure performed by a shady doctor with ties to HGH, then subsequently found himself suspended 50 games after testing positive for elevated testosterone levels? Watching him pitch was one of the joys of the 2011 season.
Facing him is the man who replaced him, Hiroki Kuroda. Coming off a strong start against the Angels (and only the first 100 pitch outing of his season), Kuroda could make me a lot less nervous about the Yankees' rotation by continuing his good work.
