The Yankees' home opener is this afternoon, and it should be an extra exciting game for anyone who is actually able to be there at 1 PM on a Monday, as the "Core Four" will be reunited. Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte will be throwing out the opening pitches to Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada. Jeter commented that although he's seen them all separately, the four of them haven't all been together in awhile, so that should be fun to see. Later that night, Pettitte and Rivera will both be honored with the "Pride of the Yankees" award.
Are any PSA readers going to be in attendance at the game? If so, we invite you to share your pictures at the stadium with us, either by posting them here, or by tweeting us at @pinstripealley.
For those of you who won't be at the game, tell us a story about a home opener that you've gone to in the past, or share your favorite memories of the Core Four. Bonus points to whoever can make us feel the most nostalgic.
(I'll be at work for the duration of the game and won't be able to see any of it unless it goes to 20 innings, so seriously, share your fun stories!)
