Daily Yankees Predictions 4/10/14: The first of many, many, many games between the Yankees and Red Sox

Tanaka Time is a whole lot of fun in person. Pineda will make his Bronx debut against the Red Sox. It's time to call it, so get your PSA DP on!

Normally, when I go to the stadium, I go right to my seats to enjoy some sweet, sweet baseball. Yesterday was different. Yesterday I wanted to get a good, up close view of Tanaka pitching. It did not disappoint. Ten strikeouts. Ten. That's three more than all the other pitcher's strikeouts combined. Amazing. If you get the chance to see him pitch live, I highly recommend it.

4/9/14 Daily Predictions Answers

1. How many innings does the opposing team starter pitch? 6
2. Total number of strikeouts by the Yankee starter only? 10
3. Total number of earned runs allowed by the Yankees' bullpen? 2
4. Total number of walks given up by Yankee pitchers? 2
5. Total number of Yankee extra base hits? 3
6. Name one Yankee you think will hit a home run tonight

Beltran/Johnson

7. Name a Yankee you think will have the best defensive play of the game Soriano
8. Best overall Yankee of the night? Tanaka

The Aardvark's have decided to go on vacation after watching all those K's from Tanaka last night. They just don't see any point in working anymore. However, once again the math shows that no one person won. Billy W, Lilly, GriffMan, LTL, Blanky, and Yankee Outsider all tied with 3,000 points. I can say that if Soriano had not made that amazing catch after Gardner made his, Billy W would have been the winner. Way to go, Sori.

What player from another team would you pay to see play live?

Chicken: What is your favorite meal containing chicken?

What is your SECOND favorite color? (OH!!! Bet you didn't see that one coming)

Around the house: Barefoot, socks, or some kind of shoe/footwear?

These were my seats last night in Section 135. I specifically got these seats so I could watch Gardner play LF. You know, the day Girinder decides to rest Ellsbury and move Gardner to CF. Sigh.

Michael Pineda makes his Yankee Stadium debut tonight against the hated Boston Red Sox. Baseball is a dish best served with cold booze and the Yankees bludgeoning the Red Sox. Let's hope for that.
