Tonight could be the last night of the 2014 Major League Baseball season. The San Francisco Giants hold a 3-2 lead in the World Series over the Kansas City Royals, but they are now away from AT&T Park with no more Madison Bumgarner starts remaining. Although the Royals' backs are against the wall, they are back at Kauffman Stadium, and they have rookie sensation Yordano Ventura taking the mound opposing the Giants' Jake Peavy. Ventura's a rookie, but given Peavy's recent struggles, the pitching edge is in Kansas City's favor.
Will that translate into a Kansas City victory and one more game in this 2014 season? There has been just one World Series Game 7 in the past 12 years, and it would certainly be a thrill to see another one. Otherwise, the Giants will be holding the Commissioner's Trophy for the third time in five years, a remarkable run.
Get it done, Royals. Go Royals, go baseball, go to Game 7.
