The Yankees have the night off but there are still games of interest and consequence elsewhere on the schedule tonight. The current wild card leader Rays and Rangers kick off a series in Tampa tonight with both teams tied at 81-67. Texas has lost six straight games while Tampa Bay took a series from the Twins over the weekend. Tonight also features a game between the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals. With a victory the Indians will move into the lead for one of the two available wild cards. If the Royals win they will pull even with the Yankees at three games out.
Feel free to use this as your open thread to discuss these games, Monday Night Football, or whatever else you want to discuss on your night without Yankees baseball.
