Join the Pinstriped Bible writing staff

New, comments
The Star-Ledger-USA TODAY Sports

Over the past month or so Pinstriped Bible has undergone some staff changes from the ground up. A handful of old faces have moved on to new things and we've welcomed in some very talented new writers that help make this site what it is. That being said, we still have a little room to grow. Our goal has always been to achieve a site that can serve as the place to go on the internet for all the Yankees news, commentary, and analysis a fan could want. We feel like we're well on our way to achieving that goal and would love to add a couple more strong voices to our team.

If you've ever thought that sports writing might be your thing, I encourage you to give it a try. SB Nation is such a great way to get started and its ever-growing reach in the sports community allows all writers a strong platform to have their voice reach beyond just these team sites. Few media outlets allow you to be a passionate fan outwardly through your writing and that makes what we're doing here special, in my opinion. The more individual voices we have, the better.

So, what are we looking for? Our main need right now is a Friday night writer interested in doing recaps. I know, Friday nights. If you can be available the vast majority of Friday nights, are tuning into the games anyway, and feel like trying your hand at recapping them for PB, you'd be a great fit for the job. We're also interested in adding a writer to do some kind of editorial or analysis piece on Wednesdays while Brian is away for the month. Once he is back, the day may change but writing a weekly post wouldn't. Anyone on the staff can write as often as they'd like about whatever they'd like, these are just the basic requirements we are looking for at this time. If you have ideas that you'd like to see covered on the site that we aren't currently doing, feel free to pitch them to me. We're always looking to expand our coverage of the Yankees in any way that we can.

Anytime we bring in new people we'd obviously prefer it to be someone from the community. You guys are the ones who are here every day and make this place more than just a blog, but a place to hang out and discuss the Yankees with fans who are as passionate about the team as anyone. Even if you're just a lurker and have never commented before, I encourage you to take this opportunity to get involved with the site if writing has ever been of interest to you.

We have come a long way in the last few months and I know that we can continue to get even better. If you're interested in joining our team, you can email me at the address listed in my SB Nation profile by clicking my name on this post or any of my comments so that we can discuss specifics and the try-out process. If you have any questions about writing for the site, what we're looking for, or any of the requirements above, feel free to ask in the comments below. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully having you be a part of Pinstriped Bible going forward.
