The RailRiders couldn't get much offense going until the late innings, and their pitchers allowed the Red Wings to pick up 13 hits in the game. JR Murphy continues to hit well, which may start to bring up questions about the Yankees' insistence on keeping Austin Romine in the majors. Ivan Nova starts for SWB tonight at 7:05 pm against the Norfolk Tides.

The only run of the game was scored on an RBI double by Pirela that drove in Corona before Pirela was thrown out trying to stretch it into a double. Turley got his sixth win of the season and Kahnle picked up his ninth save. Trenton also went to one game over .500 for the season. Scottie Allen makes his Double-A debut tonight at 7:05 pm.

Rich Mascheri 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
Alex Smith 1 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, K, WP - first game since promotion
Feliz is a bit of a mess at third base, and it cost Pineda an unearned run. He allowed three singles to start the game, but really settled in after that. The Yankees tied the game in the fourth and pulled ahead for good in the fifth. Reliever Dietrich Enns makes his High-A debut in a start for Tampa tonight at 7:00 pm.

Most of the RiverDogs offense is clicking right now and they got on the board in each of the first two innings and managed to overcome being out-hit by the Braves for their 40th win of the season, which was win number 7 on the season for Rutckyj. Jose (Vicente? I was told he prefers to go by that now...) Campos gets the start for Charleston tonight at 7:00 pm.

RF Mikeson Oliberto 1-4, K
2B Hector Crespo 0-4, K, E4 - fielding error, first of the season

When you don't score, it matters little what the other team does, but sloppy defense abounded tonight around the infield. Their season is just beginning, so it's probably okay to cut them some slack. The Yankees take on the Renegades again tonight at 7:05 pm.
