Yankees vs. Dodgers rained out; doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday

Al Bello

Tonight's Yankees game vs. the Dodgers has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader tomorrow at 1 pm and 7 pm. Hiroki Kuroda will get the day game and Phil Hughes will pitch in the night cap. Both teams will be able to call up a 26th man for the day, but with a majority of the uninjured useful players on the Triple-A already in the Bronx, the pickings will be slim. Maybe they will bring Ivan Nova back for a day in case Adam Warren is needed in long relief in game one. Aside from Nova, there doesn't seem to be many people the Yankees could use, unless they go with a different reliever. Nevermind, apparently you only get a 26th man if the doubleheader is scheduled 48 hours in advance. That's a cool rule, MLB.

Either way, feel free to use this as your open thread for the night. The Rays and Red Sox are nearing the end of the first game of their doubleheader now, and will be playing another game at its conclusion. The Orioles are taking on the Tigers and the Blue Jays are facing the Rockies in an interleague matchup north of the border in other AL East action. Enjoy your evening!
