This was a disastrous outing for Cotham who just couldn't throw a strike to save his life. The Red Wings scored in all but two innings and the RailRiders' offense was mainly stifled.

Game Two:

RF Addison Maruszak 1-3, 2B, RBI - 10 for his last 35 (.286)
2B Alberto Gonzalez 0-3
LF Zoilo Almonte 1-3 - batting .425/.439/.450 over his last 10 games

The RailRiders jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning and never looked back from there. Daley made things dicey in the top of the seventh, but managed to hold on long enough to not blow the win, SWB's 31st of the year. Brett Marshall pitches for the RailRiders tonight at 7:05 pm.

Double-A Trenton Thunder: Off

The recently promoted Sean Black starts for Trenton today at 7:05 pm.

John Brebbia 2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
Manny Barreda 1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, K

Both teams scored in each of their first two innings, but the Blue Jays tallied five runs in that time and the Yankees only managed three. The game was basically decided there, and the Blue Jays ended up doubling the Yankees in the hit column to put Tampa 10 games under .500 for the season. Joel De La Cruz starts for Tampa today at 7:00 pm.
