Edwin Encarnacion and Brett Lawrie smashed homers off Hiroki Kuroda to give the Blue Jays an early 3-0 lead. Even though Mark Buehrle has never pitched well against the Yankees, a three-run deficit against a lefty seemed daunting.
I guess we underestimated how much Vernon Wells enjoys torturing the Jays and how much Buehrle apparently wanted to hang a terrible pitch down the middle to Francisco Cervelli. Also Robinson Cano (no qualifiers necessary).
Ballgame. Thoughts, Gibby?
