Cody Eppley 2.2 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, BB, K - six groundouts, one flyout

An offensive outburst and some shutdown bullpen work by our old pal Cody Eppley helped the RailRiders bounce back from their run in with Betances to split their doubleheader with Buffalo and actually play baseball for the first time in five days. Vidal Nuno gets the start today at 7:05 pm against the Rochester Red Wings.

Double-A Trenton Thunder: W 15-1 vs. Richmond Flying Squirrels

Ramon Flores 2-2, 2B, 4 RBI, 2 BB
Tyler Austin 3-6, 2B, 5 RBI, 2 K, SB - what slump?

The Thunder scored in five of the first six innings to beat up on Richmond. Only Kyle Roller and Neil Medchill went hitless for Trenton. Nik Turley endeavors to right himself today at 7:05 pm against Akron.

High-A Tampa Yankees: L 1-3 vs. Daytona Cubs

Joel De La Cruz 2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, K - four groundouts, no flyouts
Fred Lewis 1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 2 K

Scottie Allen, who is clearly full of black magic for not striking out anyone in six innings, pitched well enough to win, but he gave up his shutout in the seventh inning and his offense couldn't bail him out. Bryan Mitchell gets the start today at 7 pm against the Dunedin Blue Jays.

Low-A Charleston RiverDogs: suspended in the 13th inning tied 7-7 vs. Augusta GreenJackets

Charlie Short 2 H, 0 ER, BB, 2 K
Danny Oh 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, BB, K - 7 of 15 pitches for strikes, two groundouts

The RiverDogs rallied for three runs in the seventh inning to tie the score, thanks to Dante Bichette Jr. and Rob Refsnyder. Unfortunately, the game would go to extras and end up being suspended for rain. The game will be completed where it left off in the 13th inning on June 13th. Minor league baseball! Charleston kicks off a series against the Rome Braves tonight at 7:05 pm at The Joe.
