After edging their neighbors to the north in a win-or-go-home game on Sunday to advance to the next round in Miami, Team USA is back in action tonight to take on Puerto Rico. The Nationals' Gio Gonzalez gets the start for the U.S. while the Dodgers' Mario Santiago takes the hill for Puerto Rico.
Did Stanton run over Joe Torre's dog or something? Sheesh. Seems like Torre is going to bunt them to death and bat Stanton eighth so he has to participate in this whole WBC thing for the minimum amount longer possible. Thanks, Joe.
The game starts at 8 p.m. and can be seen on MLB Network.

In other World Baseball Classic news, Team Dominican Republic fell behind Italy early, but managed to rally for a win with three runs in the seventh inning. Robinson Cano went 3-4 with a double and a home run. He's been on fire for the entire WBC, hitting .750 to this point. Save some for April, Robbie. Ambidextrous Yankee pitching prospect Pat Venditte took the loss for Italy.
