Around the World:

What Mo Deserves - ESPN | Wallace Matthews

Mariano Rivera should be the first unanimous Hall of Famer. He has the records, the ability, the integrity, the sportsmanship, the character and he has played for the New York Yankees for his entire career.

No. 42 All-Star Team - CBS Sports | Matt Snyder

Now that Mariano Rivera is retiring from baseball, the number 42 will never be worn by another Major League Baseball player. If there was an All-Star team consisting of only players who wore 42 it would include Jackie Robinson, Mo Vaughn, Bruce Sutter, Mariano Rivera and others.

Favorite Mo Moment - Bronx Pinstripes | Rich Kaufman

The Bronx Pinstripes identify their favorite Mariano Rivera moments from throughout his career. The 2003 ALCS Game 7 is there and so is the bases loaded walk, as well as several others. What's yours?

Replacing Mariano - MLB.com | Adam Berry

Mo is not only irreplaceable on the mound, but also in the dugout. David Robertson, Joba Chamberlain, David Aardsma or any number of free agents could replace him on the mound, but no one will be able to duplicate his success.

A Warning to Tex - Fox Sports | Ken Rosenthal

Mark DeRosa warns Mark Teixeira about the dangers of a wrist injury on a baseball career. While his injury isn't as severe as DeRosa's or Jose Bautista's, both of which required surgery, he does have to be careful not to aggravate the injury by trying to come back too soon.

"There is only one Mariano Rivera. There won't be another person who will come along and do what he did. No one does it like him. It was an honor to catch him and play alongside him for as long as I did. He made my job as a catcher so much easier. Mariano is a special person and obviously a special player.

"I'm so happy he is going out on his terms. Now every time he steps into a ballpark this year, teams and fans can celebrate and appreciate what he has meant to this great game we play." -Jorge Posada

"Mariano Rivera is arguably the greatest closer of all time. But beyond that he is a class act and a great human being. It is an honor to be his teammate and his friend." - Alex Rodriguez
