Yankees have agreed to terms on a new deal with Larry Rothschild

The Yankees have agreed to terms with Larry Rothschild on a deal that would keep him as the club's pitching coach for at least another year. The exact details of the deal have yet to be made public, but we should all know soon what the contract amounts to. After signing Joe Girardi to a four year $16 million contract, Brian Cashman said he wished to bring the entire coaching staff back. Rothschild is the first to sign a new deal as all are set to become free agents come November.

This is Rothschild's third seasons with the Yankees after replacing Dave Eiland before the 2011 season. Since then, Yankee pitchers have ranked 14th in ERA (3.85), 16th in FIP (3.91), ninth in strikeouts (7.80 K/9), and fifth in walks (2.84 BB/9). This season the Yankees ranked 18th in ERA (3.94), 18th in FIP (3.89), 14th in K/9 (7.67), and fifth in BB/9 (2.72).

It's hard to know how much is his fault and what he should get credit for, but has he done a good job?
