Today, after weeks of consideration, I have informed Steven that I am resigning from my managerial post at Pinstripe Alley. Steven was kind enough to offer me a spot on the writing staff still, but I declined to continue with the site in any role. I'd rather not go into the details, but I simply do not have the time to commit to the site anymore.
I'd like to stress that this has nothing to do with the upcoming site changes and the recent site changes, but rather personal issues that I would rather not discuss. The site is in great hands, and I know the community will be as strong, if not stronger than ever.
I have no idea what my future holds, as well as if I will comment at Pinstripe Alley in the near future or distant future. Perhaps one day you will see a fanpost from me, a comment, a terrible joke, anything. No clue, but you will not be seeing any front page posts anymore.
I'd like to thank the wonderful writers for their excellent work. Picking the writers to replace Chris/Frank was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make, and they made me realize I made the correct choices. Really just a fantastic group.
Finally, to the loyal readers of Pinstripe Alley, I'd like to say thank you. I'm not exactly excellent with words, so I won't get into the metaphors and fancy mumble jumble about what you all meant to me. I'll just say every time I wrote and saw a "rec" or a comment, or a page view, knowing that someone took the time out of their day to read what I had to say was awesome. Thank you so much.
So farewell Pinstripe Alley. Let's Go Yankees! (Please come back soon, Brett Gardner)
