The big man (CC Sabathia) gets the ball for the first time today against RHP Kevin Correia of Pittsburgh. Phil Hughes is scheduled to follow and make a case for himself to be the fifth starter. After Freddy Garcia's so-so outing on Sunday, Hughes already has a leg up.
Other available pitchers include Michael O'Connor, Brett Marshall, Graham Stoneburner, Chase Whitley, Adam Warren, Cesar Cabral and Kevin Whelan.
We'll see the regular infielders - A-Rod, Jeter, Cano and Tex - in the starting lineup, with chances to see C Gary Sanchez, 1B Brandon Laird, 2B David Adams, SS Doug Bernier, 3B Jorge Vazquez, LF Ramiro Pena, CF Melky Mesa, RF Zoilo Almonte and DH J.R. Murphy. Should be interesting to see Vazquez at third and Pena in left (at least for Joe Girardi, because the game won't be televised).
