Good morning PSA. I just got back from Paris, France no less than 12 hours ago and odds are I will be using this Monday to relax and get back into this time zone. Sadly I will not be able to do this while watching or listening to a Yankees game today as they are not playing at any time today.

Michael Pineda impressed during his outing on Sunday according to The New York Times. The main concern with Pineda has been the velocity on his fastball which he apparently got up to 94MPH in Sunday's game. He claims that he can still go higher so perhaps this will quell some of the people worrying about his velocity for a short time, like the article suggests. Personally, I don't think it will. Pineda will be under the microscope for a while now. Welcome to NY, Mr. Pineda.
Joba Chamberlain was released from the hospital last night after he dislocated his right ankle. You know, I'm starting to wonder if any Yankees player has been as injured as Joba. Pat Kelly comes to mind, but still this is just getting disheartening at this point.
In more encouraging injury news, Alex Rodriguez was hit by a pitch yesterday but it does not seem to be serious at all. Whew. Health-Rod has definitely been hitting well during Spring Training and we would hate to see anything disrupt that.
Finally, Jeter's calf seems to be doing better even though he really didn't have to use it much this Sunday. Girardi, or possibly Girardi's unholy binder of evil, also seems to want the Captain to take it easy for the time being, as he feels there is still time. Probably the wisest move in regards to Jeter.
