Game 107 Preview: Yankees at White Sox

Mood Music - Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin

After taking three out of four against the Baltimore Orioles, the New York Yankees will begin a seven game road trip in Chicago to take on the White Sox.  In the first game of this four-game series, the Yankees will hand the ball to their ace, CC Sabathia.  Fresh off of a rain-interrupted bid for a no hitter, and in the midst of what appears to be his best season as a Yankee, Sabathia will look to keep things moving in the right direction against the White Sox.

Opposing Sabathia will be the 2007 NL Cy Young winner, Jake Peavy.  Peavy, who injuries have prevented from maintaining his excellence, has posted a 5.27 ERA, 3.53 xFIP, 7.16 K/9, and 2.03 BB/9 in 66.2 innings so far in 2011.  Peavy's fastball will sit around 90-91 MPH, but he is more likely to throw two-seamers and cutters than anything straight, and will mix in a breaking ball and a change up (mainly to lefties).

Lineup (WWJD) is Gardner LF, Granderson CF, Teixeira 1B, Cano 2B, Swisher RF, Chavez 3B, Posada DH, Nunez SS, Cervelli C.
