New York Yankees News: Dickerson, Jeter, McCartney, and Montero

Somewhere Greg Golson is sitting alone, wondering why the Yankees hate him.
Somewhere Greg Golson is sitting alone, wondering why the Yankees hate him.

The Yankees promoted Chris Dickerson and demoted Greg Golson yesterday, and I honestly can't figure out why. It's amazing that the Yankees managed to mess up even a minor move like that.

However, I must say that the Yankees pickup of Cory Wade was a good one. Wade was with the Rays before the Yankees signed him, and the Yankees head into Tampa today with a solid reliever, rather than another mop. It's a little too early to tell, but Wade has impressed so far.

The Yankees handling of Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit impressed many, including Bob Elliot of the Toronto Sun.

Paul McCartney pleased a packed Yankee Stadium over the weekend, but to be honest all I care about is the field. If the field was treated like the last time an event was held at Yankee Stadium during the season, expect to see a lot of fielders tripping in the outfield, and possibly even some injuries.

The asking price for Ubaldo Jimenez is extremely high as previously mentioned, but the Yankees aren't biting as of right now. Let's hope that does not change.

Question of the week: What MLB pitchers would you be willing to trade Jesus Montero straight up for?

Come back at 10 AM for my write up about Jesus Montero.
