Mood Music - While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles

Again relying on the longball (courtesy of Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano), the New York Yankees bombed their way to another victory in support of CC Sabathia, who pitched brilliantly.

After allowing only one unearned run in the fourth inning (double, error on Derek Jeter, sacrifice fly), Sabathia was one out shy of a complete game, before finally getting chased by two bloop singles in the ninth inning.  Thankfully, Mariano Rivera is still the greatest closer of all time and got Erick Aybar to pop up harmlessly to end the game.

The final line for Sabathia - 8.2 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 8 H, 1 BB, 3K.  An absolutely terrific performance from the ace of the staff.

Play of the Game: Alex Rodriguez's two run home run in the 6th inning.

Comment of the Game: Briceratops, for reminding us that history works both ways.
