The New York Yankees and the Chicago Cubs are meeting for the first time since the Yankees dismantled the Cubbies back in 2005, sweeping a three game set in the Bronx. They make their first trip to Wrigley Field since 2003. I can't believe it's been that long.
Freddy Garcia gets the start for New York and Doug Davis will oppose him.

Garcia vs. current Cubs hitters
Davis vs. current Yankees hitters
Random notes:
1) The Yankees are 3-0 without Derek Jeter so far. Maybe they should just cut him loose already? /heavy sarcasm.
2) Mark Teixeira has hit 12 home runs over the past four weeks. Not too shabby.
3) This season, Brett Gardner is hitting .290 with a .389 OBP against lefties. He also had a game-winning hit off a lefty yesterday. Let's hope he keeps batting eighth in the NL parks. /also heavy sarcasm.
4) Joe Torre recently had rotator-cuff surgery. He's at the game today at Wrigley. As many other writers have already pointed out, those that believer in karma are chuckling to themselves today.
Game thread will be up at 2:15.
