- It looks like Derek Jeter will hit the DL for the fifth time in his career (and first since 2003). Nothing official has been said yet, but Ramiro Pena is in the Yankees' clubhouse, so it looks like a foregone conclusion. (Be sure to read an interview Jeter did before Monday's game.)
- Also hurt is Russell Martin, who will again be out of tonight's lineup (the sixth time in the last seven days). And for at least a few more days. So who catches if Cervelli gets hurt? It's absolutely asinine that Martin hasn't been DL'ed to make room for Montero.
- Dante Bichette, Jr. has apparently reached an agreement to join the Yankees organization. He's taking a physical today.
