The Yankees limp into this afternoon's play after blowing their five run comeback in the seventh inning. The good news? CC Sabathia will be taking the mound today in a beautiful Sunday afternoon matinee at Ranger Ballpark in Arlington.
CC Sabathia is 8-3 with a 4.39 ERA in 15 career starts against the Texas Rangers. He's coming off a mediocre start against the Detroit TIgers in which he kept the Yankees in the game by grinding to the seventh inning, but to no avail. Let's hope to see "Ace Sabathia" toss the ball today.
Dave Bush will receive the spot start today in place of the injured Alexi Ogando. Ogando was scratched due to a blister on his middle finger. Bush has made five career starts against New York, posting a 2-1 record with a 3.56 ERA. Texas fans have yet to see what he's made of, only making one start and appearing in three games as a reliever. We'll see how he plans to handle the Yankees in a bit.

Worth noting
After missing Friday's game with flu-like symptoms, Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher talked his way into the lineup on Saturday and homered. ... The Rangers recalled outfielder Craig Gentry from Triple-A Round Rock to take Cruz's spot on the active roster.
