After last night's epic 15 inning battle, the New York Yankees will look to sweep their two game series with the Baltimore Orioles, sending ace and Chocolate Connoisseur, CC Sabathia to the mound.  In his first nine starts this season, the Large Lefty has performed at the level we have come to expect from him, posting a 3.47 ERA, 3.04 FIP, and 1.36 WHIP to go along with three wins and three losses.

Opposing Sabathia will be Jeremy Guthrie who, due to the Orioles exhausted pen, was forced to throw an inning in last night's ballgame.  For the season, Guthrie has a 3.91 ERA, 4.60 FIP, and 1.17 WHIP, and has featured a wide assortment of pitches, most notably a four-seam or two-seam fastball (~92MPH), a cutter, a slider, a change up, and a curveball.

[Update: The O's are actually going to start Brad Bergesen.  Never trust Yahoo.  Here's his page on Fangraphs, if you wanted all of that fancy smancy stuff I gave you for Guthrie.]

While it was nice to escape last night's game with a win, I don't think anyone would confuse it for playing good baseball, which the Yankees would really like to start doing again.  Look for your gamethread at 6:45, and if anyone has seen the lineups, go 'head and post 'em, because SBN is claiming every position is going to be played by "Data for this widget is not available" which just can't be right.

[Update: The lineup is (hat-tip WWJD) Jeter - SS, Granderson - CF, Teixeira - DH, Rodriguez - 3B, Cano - 2B, Martin - C, Posada - 1B, Swisher - RF, Gardner - LF.]

So yeah, Jorge is playing first and Swisher is batting eighth....
