I was at the Yankees-Twins game yesterday afternoon. Aside from the cold, the wind and the threat of rain, it was a great day for baseball.

Seriously, how are the Yankees playing 20 games in April at their open air stadium in New York instead of in Southern California or Florida or anywhere there's a roof? It was the smallest Yankee crowd I've ever been a part of at Yankee Stadium.

To me, the play of the game was Andruw Jones racing from nowhere to steal a hit from Danny Valencia and hold Jason Kubel on second base in the 4th inning. When AJ Burnett was on the brink of unraveling, he held it together and delivered a solid outing. After making a good defensive play in the top of the inning, Jones strode to the plate and delivered an RBI double in the bottom half.

Was Andruw Jones primed to make a strong defensive play because he was aware he'd be coming up in the next inning, or did making the defensive play fire up his adrenaline and help him hit? Either way, he looks like a great addition.

Share your thoughts on yesterday's game, the weather, and Jones' impact on the team. Then be back here at noon for today's game preview.
