Colon strong in Yankees 4-2 win over Pirates

Somebody's got to stumble, right? Despite allowing two runs and raising his spring ERA to 3.00, Bartolo Colon showed swing-and-miss ability, striking out seven Pirates (without a walk) in four innings.

Rafael Soriano made his Yankee debut, hurling a scoreless, one-hit, one-K inning. Pedro Feliciano followed with a scoreless, three-K inning. Then entered Manny Banuelos, who kept his spring ERA at zero with two shutout frames in which he K'ed three and walked none.

Russell Martin and Andruw Jones belted their first home runs (both solo shots), while Derek Jeter tripled and Mark Teixeira doubled.

A day contest tomorrow features a stellar pitching match-up: CC Sabathia vs. Roy Halladay. But again, no TV.
