It turns out I was 2 for 20 in last year's round of predictions, so that should tell you how seriously to take mine this year. Putting aside the bandwagon categories, like how everybody expected the Mariners to do well, I went out on a limb and predicted such gems as:
- The Chicago Cubs winning the NL Central (actual record: 75-87)
- Jim Riggleman winning the NL Manager of the year (I thought the Nats would be surprisingly good)
- Javier Vazquez being the surprise Yankee in a good way
- Brett Gardner being the surprise Yankee in a bad way
It can't get worse, right?
