Pinstripe Alley's Pre-Season Predictions: Duggan

Mood Music - Too Much Time on My Hands by Styx

I've made my disdain for predictions pretty well known, but as I am nothing if not a good sport, I will make some wild guesses about the 2011 season after the jump.

AL East Winner: New York Yankees

AL Central Winner: Detroit Tigers

AL West Winner: Texas Rangers

AL Wild Card: Boston Red Sox

NL East Winner: Philadelphia Phillies

NL Central Winner: Milwaukee Brewers

NL West Winner: San Francisco Giants

NL Wild Card: Atlanta Braves

ALCS: Yankees over Red Sox

NLCS: Braves over Brewers

World Series: Yankees over Braves

World Series MVP: Nick Swisher

AL MVP: Adrian Gonzalez

NL MVP: Albert Pujols

AL Cy Young: Felix Hernandez

NL Cy Young: Zack Greinke

AL Rookie of the Year: Jeremy Hellickson

NL Rookie of the Year: Dominic Brown

AL Manager of the Year: Joe Girardi (somebody's gotta win, right?)

NL Manager of the Year: Fredi Gonzalez

AL Breakout Player: Grady Sizemore breaks back out

NL Breakout Player: Ike Davis (Sun Devil)

AL Disappointment: Carl Crawford

NL Disappointment: Chase Utley

Yankees Surprise Player (does better than expected): Eduardo Nunez

Yankees Disappointing Player: Phil Hughes

Bold Predictions: Most of my picks will be wrong. Joe Girardi's opening day batting order will cause RAGE. We will bunt far too much, and every time Brett Gardner grounds out or pops up on the first pitch of an at bat trying to bunt for a hit, I will want to punch a kitten in the face. There will be unrest in the Middle East. Celebrities will do stupid things and people will talk about it.
