New York Yankees News Roundup: Feliciano to the DL?

Isn't that just the luck? The "Iron Horse" of relievers, Pedro Feliciano, looks headed for the disabled list for the first time in his career. He felt "discomfort" in the triceps of his pitching arm on March 9th. No pitcher has appeared more often over the last three years.

  • Curtis Granderson says he is "50-50" for Opening Day. He's recovering from an oblique strain and may swing a bat for the first time today. The test will help determine when he dons the pinstripes again.

There are holes in walls, rusty pipes, overflowing trash, but the swimming pool has become the trigger for official action. Residents complained to the city that the pool has been unusable for 2 years, and local code enforcement officials have now ordered that it be drained and cleaned by next week ... or else.

  • Speaking of pools, a 12-year old girl that saved her drowning friend was invited, along with her family, to today's contest against the Twins. She'll be honored before the game in conjunction with the announcement of HOPE Week (which will take place in late July).
