Yankees/MLB Hot Stove Report: My Funny Valentine?

It's looking more and more like the Red Sox next manager will be either Gene Lamont or Bobby Valentine. If the latter, Bob Raissman thinks his replacement on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball will be former Boston skipper Terry Francona.

According to Jim Bowden, approximately 10 teams are vying for Mark Buehrle and C.J. Wilson. Bowden believes the Yankees are the favorite to land Wilson, while the Nationals and Cubs have been the most active in their pursuit of Buehrle.

Luis Ayala is likely to be crowded out of the Yankees' bullpen, but he may not be a stranger in the Bronx. According to Jon Morosi, the Rays and Red Sox have each expressed interest in the reliever.

While the rest of the baseball word waits to see if Yu Darvish will be posted, the Orioles have been aggressively scouring the Asian professional leagues.  Not only are the Orioles expected to sign Chong Tae-Hyon, a submarining right hander from South Korea, but the team has also been linked to Taiwanese left hander Chen Wei-yin.

The Toronto Blue Jays sent cash to the Indians in exchange for second baseman Luis Valbuena. The soon-to-be 26-year old utility infielder had been designated for assignment last week.
