The Post reports that Nick Johnson could be ready to rejoin the team by July. They didn't say which July, though we're assuming this one. Money quote from Brian Cashman:
We are hopeful at some time toward the end of a July we will have a player
That's right, a player. Not a walking injury time bomb, or a 90-year old in a 31-year old's body, an actual baseball player.
Actually, I would almost rather Johnson just stay away at this point. Things have worked out well without him, and with A-Rod and Jorge benefiting from the semi-off days that the DH spot creates, it may become a logjam.
