Yankees 3, Phillies 6 - Losing to the Ageless Wonder

Well, I sure got this wrong.

Jamie Moyer shut the Yankees down tonight, allowing only 4 baserunners over 8 innings.  It must have been the 82 MPH fastball that gave the Yankees problems.

AJ Burnett had better stuff but couldn't locate any of it, surrendering 6 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks in 3 1/3 innings.  He actually pitched badly enough to make Boone Logan look good.

As an aside, the Yankees really need another utility infield option - Kevin Russo and Ramiro Pena are both hitting their weight.

Play of the Game: Shane Victorino's 2nd inning triple put the Phillies up 4-0 and had the largest impact on the outcome of the game (17%).

Quote of the Game: This has to go to mrljdavid:

When asked if he was headed to Cooperstown after his career was over, Moyer responded, "Why? I’ve already been there, when my pal Abner Doubleday created the game."* That’s how old he is.
