How good is Andy Pettitte? Fewer than 100 pitches took him into the 8th inning.  A Jeterian error put the tying run on, but a Joba strikeout of Lance Berkman ended the threat.  Mo did what Mo do.

The offense looked ready to turn this into a laugher in the first. After 3 hits and a pair of walks, the offense sputtered through the remaining 7 innings.

But a win is a win, and on a Friday night, a win is all I want.

Play of the Game: The leverage says Hunter Pence's 2 RBI double in the second (15%).  In a game like this, I give the nod to the cumulative work of Andy Pettitte.

Comment of the Game: WhiteWinterHymnal for the reliable Joe West joke.
