Game 29: Beantown Showdown

CC Sabathia was pissed last night watching Josh Beckett struggle with his control. Jorge Posada was certainly keeping score as more Yankees were hit and hit the DL.

But as Beckett showed last night, the only thing that can hurt a pitcher is putting men on base.

Which is why I'm rooting for no retaliation.

The Yankees are playing for something, and at this point, frankly, the Red Sox are not. Not unless they go through the Yanks.Last night, David Price pitched 7.1 brilliant innings for the Rays- the team the Yankees are still chasing in the standings, and the team that looks to have the combination of talented, deep starting rotation and an elite closer to start a legend.

The Yankees could clinch another series today; it would be their 9th series win in 10 series this season. That's the goal.
