A lot less meaningful now: Yanks at Orioles

Al Aceves and Sergio Mitre go today, merely to see who'll be higher up in the bullpen.

Brad Bergesen starts for Baltimore.

1:05 first pitch. TV is MLB.tv and MASN.

Hughes is your fifth starter (see below).

Also, the Mets are reportedly interested in Chad Gaudin.

  • Postgame notes of an 8-0 loss -

Outside of Boone Logan and Chan Ho Park, none of the Yankee pitchers showed much. 'Ace' had his worst game of the spring, allowing six runs (five earned) in two innings. Mitre allowed a run in two frames.

Park pitched two scoreless with two hits, no walks and two K's. Logan threw an inning and let an inherited runner score (though it was due more to a Robbie Cano throwing error).

The Yankee batters had only five hits, one for extra-bases. Randy Winn went 3-3 with a double. Jeter and Pena had the other two singles.

Tomorrow's game is at 7 p.m. against the Phils.
