10 Years is a Relatively Short Career, Right?

But Gil McDougald made the most of it. He (not the uber-hyped Mickey Mantle) was the '51 Rookie of the Year. He made 5 All Star teams, won the pennant 8 times and the World Series 5 times. He spent his career shuffling between 2B and 3B, bringing a little pop (30+ XBH 7 times) and solid D, along with a good batting eye in an era that didn't yet appreciate the value of a walk. RIP #12
