Friday Morning Links: Chamberlain, Torre, Lee, Stoneburner, And How To Beat The Yankees

Since everyone has already stated their feelings on this subject, I felt like I should comment on it as well. I want Joba Chamberlain to start for the Yankees if two things happen: The Yankees do not sign Cliff Lee and Andy Pettitte, and he wins the job. If not, I want him in the bullpen. Not for another team, for the Yankees.

-Joe Torre held his annual gala last night and somehow that turned into a Jonathan Abrams post about Derek Jeter negotiations.

-In the article, Brian Cashman spoke of the whole Lee's wife not liking New York situation:

She loves New York," Cashman said. "I don’t want to speak for her, but I can tell you, I don’t have any fear of any of the experiences that she had in the New York area as being an issue for her here.

Hopefully people stop bringing this up sometime soon.

-Alan Singer believes that George Steinbrenner should be in the Hall of Shame. I think you can find your own quotes in this one.

-John Bonnes, a Twins beat writer, writes about how to beat the New York Yankees.

-TYU has a nice look at Graham Stoneburner.
