Game 137: Win Series

Winning series is what I've asked for all season, and this season, that's what I've gotten.

The Red Sox loss last night brought the magic number down to 19, and now the Yanks will try to help themselves against the Jays.

Sergio Mitre finally looked like a big league pitcher in his last outing, going 6.1 one-hit innings at the Stadium. Mitre has to know that if he can stay hot in September while Joba Chamberlain struggles, it could earn him the first post-season start of his career.

Brian Tallet takes the mound for the Jays, having gotten knocked around by the Rangers in his last appearance (4 runs in 5 innings). He's had 2 good starts against the Yankees this year though, both times going 6 innings and allowing only 2 earned.

Jorge Posada has been as hot as anyone the last week, hitting .444/.524/1.056.

Mark Teixeira has been the opposite of that, going .167/.333/.333 in the same time.
