This one-game makeup against the California/Anaheim/L.A. Angels (choose a damn location and go with it already!) is a possible preview of the ALCS.

Joba's going tonight, and his start could have a big influence on the rest of his season. If he has another poor game against a potential playoff opponent, can he be trusted when the real thing happens? If he has another game like his last against the Angels (4.1 ip, 5 er), will he be moved to the pen for the postseason? If so, who takes the fourth spot in the rotation?

Jered Weaver takes the ball for Anaheim, and has been lights out recently. He's allowed just three runs in his last three starts totaling 19.1 innings (1.40 ERA). On the other hand, the Yankees have roughed him up. In two starts this year, he allowed seven earned runs in 12 innings (5.25 ERA).

The Angels are currently five games behind the Bombers in the race for the best record in the league (and home-field advantage). The magic number in that race is 15.
