Scratch off a couple more names

Well, you can scratch a couple more names off the list of players the New York Yankees were interested in acquiring via trade.

  • The Detroit Tigers have sent outfielder Josh Anderson to the Kansas City Royals. The Yankees were considering him as a replacement for the injured Brett Gardner.
  • The Chicago Cubs have acquired left-handed reliever John Grabow from Pittsburgh. Fine with me, I think Grabow is terrible, anyway. I would love to see Scott Downs in pinstripes, though.
