Yanks at Angels: Let's Try This Again

The Yanks have not dropped a series since losing 2 of 3 to the Marlins June 19-21, and they haven't been swept since dropping the June 9-11 series in Boston.

That's weeks of great baseball that might go up in smoke if C.C. Sabathia can't be the pitcher he's paid to be today.

Because what's it really matter if the Yanks have just finished a 13-2 run if they then get swept by an Angels team without two of its best players?

What's it matter to be 2 back in the division, with the second best record in the American League with a 2 game edge over the Texas Rangers if we can rest assured of getting dropped in the first round by Mike Scioscia's pinstripe kryptonite?

C.C. needs to win today, so that YankeeLand can enjoy the All-Star break.
