It was revealed that Robbie Cano and Damaso Marte do not have structural damage in their shoulders after each had MRIs today.
It's bursitis for Cano and inflammation for Marte. Cano expects to be back at second-base on Friday. No word on Marte.
I have actually been enjoying the WBC, but it's things like this that prevent its greater appeal, and no doubt cause more players to avoid their national teams. If they want it to be a major international tournament, they've got to find a way to put it in the midst of the season while having more elite players.
