If you have been surfing around on some of the other great blogs here at SBN for the past couple of days you may already know about our newly-formed partnership with Yahoo! Sports. If not, now you do.
Over the past couple of days, SBN has begun an affiliation with Yahoo! that will place our content on the related team pages at Yahoo!
This is a great thing for PA, and all the SBN blogs. It will bring more more exposure, and new members to our communties.
Full details of the deal can be found here. An excerpt is below.
As members of our communities or readers of our sites, you already know that SB Nation takes a different approach to online sports. Our focus has always been on empowering fans to participate in conversations that are specific to their particular teams, leagues or sports. We’ve watched over the years as the popularity of this unique approach has rapidly accelerated.
Today we want to welcome some new members to our flourishing communities. SB Nation and our friends at Yahoo are partnering to give Yahoo Sports audiences one click access to our sites and content. In addition to being the largest sport property on the web, Yahoo Sports is known for some of the best general sports blogs including: Ball Don’t Lie, Puck Daddy, Dr. Saturday, Big League Stew and others.
Relevant pages of Yahoo Sports will now feature contextual links to specific SB Nation communities. Many other pages of Yahoo Sports will feature SB Nation content and links. The great news is that more sports fans will be introduced to SB Nation sites.
Existing members will notice a couple of small changes, most notably links back to Yahoo! Sports and the ability to add Big Blue View to 'My Yahoo!' at the bottom of posts. SBN's blogs will now be prominently featured on the corresponding team pages at Yahoo! See how this looks on the Yankees' team page.
Rules of the road
As we welcome our users from Yahoo!, a reminder to users both new and old to follow the community guidelines. We want a friendly place for discussion of the Yankees, not juvenile screaming and name-calling.
Here are your guidelines. Live by them when you are here, and when you visit sites connected to other teams.
1.) This is a community blog about the most storied franchise in sports - the New York Yankees. We would appreciate members of this community refraining from political, religious, or other topics completely unrelated to sports, baseball, or the New York Yankees.
2.) Please be civil. Passionate debate is not only welcomed but encouraged. Personal attacks and name-calling is not. Posters who pick fights or flame will be warned. Continued inflammatory behavior may result in a permanent ban from this community at the discretion of the moderators.
