PREGAME NOTES:

The Yanks have lost 4 of 6 games against the Angels on the season and 9 of 14 since their 8-game win streak.

Andy Pettitte is a lifetime 12-7, 4.39 ERA, 1.40 WHIP in 23 starts against the Angels. He is 7-4, 3.87 ERA, 1.39 WHIP in 12 starts on the road this season.

Joe Saunders is a lifetime 1-1, 10.80 ERA, 2.16 WHIP in two starts against the Yanks. He is 6-2, 3.61 ERA, 1.19 WHIP in 11 starts at home this season.

Yanks' hitters vs. Saunders can be viewed here. Angels' hitters vs. Pettitte can be viewed here.

TRABER RECALLED: Billy Traber has been recalled from Scranton but no word yet on who is being sent down.

My guess is David Robertson will be headed back to Scranton. He hasn't pitched well at all lately, but in my opinion, a struggling Robertson is a better option than Billy Traber.

UPDATE: Nope, it's Ian Kennedy - according to Kim Jones on the YES pregame. I guess his postgame interview the other nightt really made the Yankee brass sour on him. Oh course, his performance on the mound Friday night didn't do him any favors either.
