I just read a very interesting article by Vince Gennaro who serves as a consultant to several Major League Baseball teams and is the author of "Diamond Dollars: The Economics of Winning in Baseball." I would recommend the book to anyone who enjoys peering over the fence to the economic side of baseball. This latest effort was equally fascinating to me. Specifically how developing and maintaining a strong minor league pipeline is the future to long-term team health in the majors. I'm still screwing with the learning curve here, so early apologies if the link doesn't work. Economics
