As reported earlier, Brian Bruney has been optioned to Scranton to make room for Joba Chamberlain.  Also, PA's all-time favorite uber-utility guy, Miquel Cairo, has been DFA'd to make room for Jason Giambi.

Suddenly, the Yanks have turned a major weakness into a major strength with their bench (Giambi/Damon, Duncan, Betemit, and Molina).

Clemens has very good career numbers against the Blue Jays (23-12, 3.24 in 48 starts).  Towers has dreadful career numbers against the Yanks (2-8, 5.03 in 13 games).

Tonight is an important game to win with a big edge in the pitching matchup and Halladay on the mound tomorrow for the Jays.

The featured graphic for tonight's game is an alternative cap logo for the Toronto Blue Jays from 1989 to 1996.
