The long-awaited return of Phil Franchise is finally here!  Too bad out-of-towners like myself can't watch the game and marvel at the future of the Yankees rotation.

With the activation of Hughes, Sean Henn has been sent packing to Scranton once again.  Our old pal, Colter Bean, has been DFA'd to make room on the 40-man roster.

Wilson Betemit will make his first career start playing 1B.  He is 2-2 with 2 HRs in his career against Davies.

I've been wrong before, but I predict A-Rod will finally hit #500 today -- if for no other reason than my inability to watch it happen.

Although the incident is unrelated to Yankees history, it was on this day in 1993 when this and this took place on the mound at Arlington Stadium.  Ah, 14 years later and it still makes me smile.  Good stuff.
