How about that Moose performance last night, eh?  I couldn't have picked a worse night to make a somewhat bold prediction.

Unless Torre decides to skip his turn in the rotation next time around (which I doubt) as a result of tomorrow's off day, Moose's next start will be a rematch against Verlander on Monday at Comerica Park.  I'm sure that makes Yankee fans very happy.

As for tonight's game, Pettitte has good career numbers against the Halos (11-6, 4.15 ERA in 21 starts).  He is 4-0, 2.25 ERA in his last four starts and 6-1, 2.85 ERA in his eight starts since the All Star Break.

Lackey does not have great overall career numbers against the Yanks (4-6, 4.90 ERA in 12 starts).  However, he is 3-1, 2.95 ERA in his last six starts against the Yanks -- including 1-0, 1.69 ERA in two starts this season.
