Not exactly a great job by Igawa in Game 1, but he did keep his team in the game and gave us fans a lot more than we expected. Regardless, I still don't want to see him pitch another game this season.
Can't say enough about how great Andy Phillips has been for this team since his recent call-up. He's not the long-term answer at 1B, but he has thoroughly outplayed everyone else at the position so far.
No surprise at all, but Edwar Ramirez is the latest casualty to be sent back to Scranton while DeSalvo takes his place on the roster.
DeSalvo makes his first career start against the D-Rays. Howell's career numbers vs. Yanks: 1-0, 2.08 in two games.
